Greetings,
I started this site because I have a desire to share the computer world with anyone that wants to learn. I do not claim to be an expert, but I know that over the years I have accumulated a significant amount of knowledge about the computer world.
My primary motivation in developing this site is that I sometimes have a problem sleeping when I should be, and that I thought that if I am awake, I may as well do something useful.
To some, this site may appear to be someone unusual while others will find this site to be quite helpful. To be perfectly honest, I started this particular website mainly as a brainstorm that accumulated over a period of time. Many factors assisted in my deciding to do this site. As I mentioned, I become bored quite often and decided that this site could be a good outlet for some of my excess brain activity.
I have a basic outline or plan in my head for what I want this site to be, but I have also decided that I will let time and participation help mode this site into whatever usefulness it may evolve into. My hope is that many people will add to this site and that it will eventually develop it’s own unique personality in the large pool of information that is known as the World Wide Web.
So, I encourage everyone to submit ideas and content to this site. The only basic rules are that this site will be a “family safe site” that provides useful information. I hope that this site will evolve into something that people will go to for tidbits of information, mostly related to the computer world, but I have no problem with other information that other people will find useful and interesting.
I have set up this site to accept donations to help offset some of the cost of providing this site. There is no expectation or requirement for anyone to donate, but if you find this site useful and would like to see it grow, donations will be accepted gladly. As this site grows, it will take additional funds to pay for bandwidth, hosting and services that will be useful to the users of this site.
